BOURBON - by Coach Gardner - Triton Boys Tennis team hosted Knox for a conference opener and notched its first conference win of the season by a score of 3-2. The thrilling match provided three event filled Tiebreakers first at #1 Doubles with Knox's Coy Taulbee and Nolan Short rallying to defeat Zak Greer and Isaiah Vaca 10-7 and #2 Tritons Doubles Jaydon Heckaman and Blayze Hensley scrapping and celebrating every point against Drew Simpson and Ryker Peterson back to back Tiebreakers to determine the match. Triton's Large brothers provided the other two wins at 1 and 3 Singles, notching Colton's first varsity match win. Triton's #2 Singles Ethan Shively worked his way back into the first set but came up short against Isaiah Heineman. Triton JV split the matches with Knox 2-2. Freshmen Hunter Arvesen and Oliver Ickes won their first JV games. The match of Large versus Short did not take place tonight but the conference foes will be back at it next week at Knox.
