Today Triton High School honors the accomplishments of senior Bryan Ulloa. Bryan is the son of Aguinaldo Ulloa and Marlen Canizales. Initially, Bryan wanted to become a lawyer but ultimately decided to major in Education and Criminal Justice at Purdue University Fort Wayne with the goal of becoming a professor. While Bryan said he regrets not participating in a sport while in high school, he hopes to take up Archery while at Purdue. Today is also Bryan's birthday!
Q&A with Bryan
Do you have any siblings? Yes, Heidi Sanchez is older and Jose Ulloa is younger.
What clubs or activities do you participate in outside of sports? I was in Art Club, Spanish Club, and Science Club.
Who were your role models growing up? Who inspires you today? I had a couple of people that were my role models but my older sister was and still is my biggest role model. She's always been there for me through rough times.
What's the most important life lesson you have learned? Treat others how you would be treated. I've learned from this when I was young and I will always follow this throughout my life.
What do you consider your biggest life accomplishment so far? My biggest achievement is getting accepted to college. I've always thought I wasn't smart enough to go to college and I didn't decide to go to college until my senior year. I got accepted to my dream school, Purdue Fort Wayne. I've learned that if I do the work and try my best I can get anywhere I want.
What's something interesting that most people don't know about you? I'm an impulsive buyer.
If you won an all-expenses-paid trip to anywhere in the world, where would you go? Japan
If you had 2 hours every week to do anything you wanted, what would it be and why? I would ride rollercoasters for the thrill.
Is there anyone you would like to thank or give a shoutout to? Mr. Whitaker, you're an awesome man and teacher. Mr. Arvesan, you teach the best subject out there: Earth Space Science. That class was my favorite because I love space. Miss Perry, you're the best gym/health teacher ever. Mr. Young, I have fun in all your classes. I'd also like to thank Mrs. Hammond, Mrs. Orlowski, and Miss Westphal. Without your help and guidance, I wouldn't be who I am today.
Anything else you would like to share about yourself, your class, hopes, dreams..... ? Even though sometimes I dread school I appreciate what it has shaped me.
