Senior Spotlight: Quentin Amsden
Today Triton High School honors the accomplishments of senior Quentin Amsden. Quentin is the son of Carl and Jessica Amsden of Bourbon. Quentin plans to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice at Ball State University this fall. As a student-athlete, Quentin played football in his freshman and senior years as well as four years of basketball. Quentin plans to continue playing basketball in college.
Q&A with Quentin
Do you have any siblings? Yes, I am the oldest of Nate, Tyler, Lilly, and Caiden.
What awards did you earn during high school? Senior year I received the offensive award for football. For basketball, I earned the hustle, defensive player, and mental attitude awards. At the conclusion of my senior season, I was named to Ink Free Sport's honorable mention list for boys basketball.
What clubs or activities do you participate in outside of sports? I was in Yearbook for one year.
Who were your role models growing up? Who inspires you today? Clay Yeo, Joey Corder, and my family
What do you consider your biggest life accomplishment so far? Graduating high school and reaching my athletic goals in my senior season.
What impressions do you hope you've made as a scholar, athlete, and/or member of the community? Never give up even when everything and everyone else is against you. You are better than everyone.
Do you have any special talents? I can sing and play the piano a little.
What's something interesting that most people don't know about you? I took over 20 charges in one season of high school basketball.
If you won an all-expenses-paid trip to anywhere in the world, where would you go? Fiji
If you had 2 hours every week to do anything you wanted, what would it be and why? I would make a way to make me Spider-Man.
Is there anyone you would like to thank or give a shoutout to? My family... especially my parents
Anything else you would like to share about yourself, your class, hopes, dreams... ? I want my "kids" to be dogs.
