It was an overcast cool fall morning at Caston High School for their 33rd Annual Invitational. 17 schools came out Saturday morning to participate. 15 schools had Varsity Boys and 15 schools had Varsity Girls to run, but only 7 schools had enough for a girls team, and 10 had boys teams competing.Triton girls ran as individuals as we are still one girl short of a team. Rory Heckaman just missed the medals for the top 10 runners, coming in 12th place. All the girls yet again set Season Best times on the day. Rory was very close to a new personal record, Kayla Poff shaved almost one minute off her time, with Rilee and Macy both coming in almost TWO minutes faster in this race.The entire Triton boys team came out to run at Caston. Caden Large not only led the boys coming in at 16th place. He did it by setting a new Personal Record for himself. The rest of the boys team, all of them, set new Season Best times again. Travis Barnhart and Colton Large were also VERY close to setting new PR's for themselves. I have no doubt we will see more new PR's from more of the boys soon. They all shaved a minute or more off their time for the season. The team ended up coming in 7th place out of 10 teams overall.
