Seniors: Rory Heckaman, Jaydon Heckaman, Caden Large, Travis Barnhart, Andrew Gould
It was a magical night at Potawatomi Park on Thursday. Half of the entire Varsity Cross Country team are Seniors for Triton. Such a large and special group of Athletes were celebrated on the evening. Argos, LaVille, and South Bend Career Academy came out for Triton's small Invitational. The coach talked about each of our Seniors, The Senior Moms brought wonderful memories, and fun gifts were shared by all. Then we got around to running a cross country race at our amazing course at Potawatomi Park. The Seniors had a great night running for the last time at home. Rory led the girls and bought home first place. SB Career Academy had 4 girls and so did Triton, so they went ahead and placed both 4 member teams against each other, and Triton Girls brought home 1st place. Argos and LaVille did not have enough girls. On the Boys' side, SBCA bought a full team to compete against Triton. It was a close race but SBCA slipped past Triton to take the top spot on the night. Again, Argos and LaVille did not have enough boys for the team competition.
The Triton Seniors are going to be deeply missed. Most of them have run their entire High School career and are just awesome people to be around. Always fun and supportive, those 5 will leave big shoes to fill in the coming years. Thank you to all 5 of you for the wonderful memories and truly stellar examples of what it means to show Trojan Pride and to live out life the Trojan Way.
