BOURBON - The Triton Athletic Department is excited to announce the hiring of Ashli Faulkner as our next Girls Varsity Basketball Coach. Ashli is a Triton graduate of the class of 2003. She was a part of the back-to-back State Championship Girls Basketball Teams of 2000 and 2001. She went on to play at the University of Evansville Purple Aces where she graduated in 2007.
Ashli was the head coach at Culver Community from 2007 through 2010. She returned to Triton Jr-Sr High in 2015 as the Junior High Social Studies teacher. During this time she helped out in various roles as a coach at different levels for the girls basketball program and the volleyball program.
Currently, Ashli is the School Counselor for Triton Jr-Sr High School. She is married to Jared Faulkner and they have 3 children, Jackson, Avery, and Jameson.
Athletic Director, Rodney Younis, stated “We are extremely excited to have Coach Faulkner lead our Girls Basketball Program. She has been a part of the Blue Swish tradition for a number of years. Her high expectations, the desire to develop our young ladies not only on the court, but in the classroom, and her connection to the Triton Community made her the best candidate to lead the program.”
Ashli Faulkner was approved as Triton's 9th Head Girls Basketball Coach at Monday night’s school board meeting.
