KNOX, Ind. - Congratulations to Lady Trojan Tennis on winning the 2023 HNAC Tennis Tournament and going undefeated in the regular season round-robin defeating LaVille, Knox, and North Judson twice. The following girls earned All-Conference honors by winning their bracket. Jenna Bules at #2 Singles, Cheyenne Hawley at #3 Singles, and Ana Lemler and Nadia Stetler at #2 Doubles. This is the 4th outright HNAC title for Triton Girls Tennis out of the seven played for since 2016.
The conference tourney for individual placing was broken down over two days.
Semi-Finals
1s - Danica Kuntz defeated Laville's Elaina Franz 6-1, 6-1
2s - Jenna Bules defeated LaVille's Frannie Locatelli 6-2, 6-2
3s - Cheyenne Hawley defeated North Judson's Danica Butler 6-0, 6-1
1d - Kate Howell and Allie Westafer defeated Knox's Sam McGrath and Journey Weber 6-4, 6-1
2d - Ana Lemler and Nadia Stetler defeated Laville's Annabelle Miller and Sydnee Miller 6-0, 6-1
Finals
1s - Danica Kuntz was defeated by North Judson's Sophia Frasure 3-6, 4-6. Danica placed 2nd for #1 singles.
2s - Jenna Bules defeated Knox's Mallory McIntire 6-2, 6-0. Jenna placed 1st for #2 singles.
3s - Cheyenne Hawley defeated Knox's Ellah Fairchild 6-3, 6-6 (TB 3-7), 6-1. Cheyenne placed 1st for #3 singles.
1d - Kate Howell and Allie Westafer were defeated by LaVille's Lauren Hominiuk and Emily Atkinson 3-6, 6-6 (TB 4-7). Kate and Allie finished 2nd for #1 doubles.
2d - Ana Lemler and Nadia Stetler defeated Knox's Miranda McCarty and Lauren Combs 6-6 (TB 4-7), 6-3, 3rd set 10pt TB 11-9. Ana and Nadia finished 1st for #2 doubles.
