BOURBON - The Triton Athletic Department congratulates Danica Kuntz on signing her letter of intent to continue her education and play Tennis at Indiana Tech Fort Wayne.
Danica has played tennis all 4 years of high school and played on the Varsity team every year. For the past 3 years Danica has held her spot playing #1 singles. This year she went undefeated in the Hoosier North Athletic Conference and placed first in the Wabash Invitational at #1 singles. She completed her senior season with an impressive 14-2 record.
We are very proud of Danica for her accomplishments in tennis, in the classroom, and for representing Triton the Trojan way! We wish her the best of luck at Indiana Tech this fall!

BOURBON - Recent Triton Jr.Sr. High School graduate Danica Kuntz has committed to play tennis at Indiana Tech in Fort Wayne.
Kuntz was a varsity tennis player at Triton for all four years of her high school career. She spent the last three of these years as Triton's number one singles player. She talked about what it means to her to continue her athletic career in college.
"It means a lot to me, especially because of all the hard work I've put into it," Kuntz said. "I even quit other sports to focus more on tennis. I knew I wasn't ready to be done."
Kuntz saw success in her time playing at Triton. This year she went undefeated in the Hoosier North Athletic Conference and won the Wabash Invitational for number one singles.
Looking back on the success she had in her senior year Kuntz shared what her last year meant to her.
"I wouldn't trade my last high school tennis season for anything," she said,
Kuntz finished her senior season with a 14-2 record, a back-to-back HNAC champion and first team all-conference.
Looking towards her time playing at Indiana Tech Kuntz spoke about her hopes.
"My hope is to try my best, improve and have good tennis seasons there. I know it will be tough, but winning isn't supposed to be easy," Kuntz said.
Kuntz plans on studying accounting.
"When I first visited Indiana Tech I really loved the campus and it just felt like I belonged there," Kuntz added. "The academic advisor was really nice and helped me through a lot. Everyone there seemed kind and I think I will fit in.
"Looking back on my time at Triton, I really did enjoy it, especially the tennis program because it gave me some good friends and a good coach who has always supported me. I'm very thankful for the community that came to our matches and cheered us on."
