KNOX - The Varsity Lady Trojans claimed the 5th Annual Hoosier North Athletic Conference Track & Field Championship at Knox on Tuesday evening. This is the first conference championship for the girl's program. The Lady Trojan's 136 points edged out LaVille's 131.
The Trojans claimed 4 all-conference spots with wins from Makenna May in the 300 hurdles and pole vault, and Addyson Viers in the shot put and discus. Six honorable mentions for 2nd place went to Makenna May (100 hurdles), Anela Hill (300 hurdles & high jump), Jocelynn Faulkner (1600m & 3200m), and Jaela Faulkner (pole vault).
Makenna May broke her own school record in the pole vault, again, with a height of 9'0". Two conference records were broken by the same athlete at the meet. North Judson's Chloe Kraus set a new mark of 12.48 in the 100 meter dash and 26.30 in the 200 meter dash. The previous records were 12.94 and 26.43 respectfully.
